Trick-or-treat
Only darkness fills the street
Until the children gather round,
You hear them whisper trick-or-treat.
It’s echoing beneath their feet
as they run across the hollow ground.
But only darkness fills the streets.
They’ve got goodies to get and doors to beat.
but their voices are a hellish sound
when you hear them whisper trick-or-treat.
They wear no mask or ghostly sheet
but a friendly face cannot be found.
Like the darkness they fill the street.
This is the only night they meet,
all their little faces frowned.
They call to us, trick-or-treat?
All they want is something sweet
But still your heart begins to pound
for you’ve heard candy’s not what they eat.
They’re at your door now…trick-or-treat?
